Impaired New York driver kills two men standing near stopped car

Drivers, passengers and pedestrians are constantly exposed to the possibility of an accident occurring. For this reason, all drivers must use care in their actions to prevent them when possible. Driving while impaired, however, shows a lack of care as it exposes others to a greater risk of an accident and suffering serious injuries and even death as a result. Driving under the influence is a preventable action that creates unnecessarily dangerous situations for everyone on the roadway.

Van strikes six pedestrians on sidewalk, killing one

Pedestrians use sidewalks and roadways that are in close proximity to motor vehicles. Due to their lack of protective or safety devices, they are exposed to more serious injuries and even death when involved in accidents with motor vehicles. It is therefore very important that drivers use the proper level of care when operating their vehicle in areas where pedestrians are present.

Pedestrians, when involved in car accidents, are often more prone to serious injury and even death due to their lack of safety devices or protection of any kind. Drivers must therefore be aware of the presence of pedestrians on roadways and use proper care in the operation of their vehicle. A failure to do so, or to be negligent in any other way may expose them to significant damages for any injuries suffered by victims and their families.

Pedestrians are vulnerable to serious injuries and even death in car accidents since they are afforded no safety or protection when compared to vehicles. It is therefore incumbent on drivers to be cognizant of pedestrians and to use care when operating their vehicle in areas where pedestrians are frequently present. A failure to do so can expose drivers to significant liability for any damages suffered by injured pedestrians and their families.
